Cotton Khesh Kantha Saree-Tithi

The material of khesh saree is handloom cotton on which 3D strips can be seen. Long pieces of cotton cloth is cut and then interwoven with thread during the saree making process creating beautiful 3D strips and texture.
On this saree then kantha work is done. It is a type of embroidery done on the base saree with run stich. Kantha stich portrays some kind of art or depicts a tale through out the saree.
